Only For The Incompetent and Unscrupulous

Today’s Independent Individualist article “There Is No Political Solution” ends with the words of the title, which are based on Ayn Rands observation:

“Individualists have always been reluctant to form any sort of organization. The best, the most independent, the hardest working, the most productive members of society have always lived and worked alone. But the incompetent and the unscrupulous have organized.” [The Letters of Ayn Rand, July 20, 1941, to Channing Pollock.]

My point is the collective or organized movements are not for individualists, that no one will every find freedom by joining anything or being part of any organized program, that in the words of Ayn Rand, it is the, “incompetent and the unscrupulous,” that organize, and being caught up in anyone’s else organization or movement is an immoral compromise of one’s own individuality.

If you truly want to be free, it is only your independent individual effort that can do it.
